Military Medical Opportunities
Duties
and Responsibilities: The United
States military offers hundreds of medical jobs, from medics to physicians, and
everything in between, including nurses and allied health careers. Working for
the military is one of many government-employed options for healthcare
professionals.
Salary: $120,000
Education:
Health Professions Scholarship
Program (HPSP) students do not earn regular military pay while in medical
school or active duty benefits. They receive tuition benefits as well as a
stipend. They enter active duty as an O3 upon entering and internship.
Reflection: I think it’s a cool job to do and it’s also in the army. They
have really good doctors there to support our troops. It is a risk taking job
to consider people to do. But some people want to do it and that’s fine. They get
paid well so it is a really cool job.
