Student Success Statement

“I am not to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with when he goes wrong.”
               Abraham Lincoln

Reflection: I think the quote means that winning is not always going to happen sometimes we fail to do something. Like winning first place and losing second place, the right thing to do is to show Character to show that winning isn’t always a choice. It matters about who you are and how you win or lose, but doing it right with Character.
April Fool’s Day
1.  When is April Fool’s Day? April 1, in many Western countries traditionally an occasion for playing tricks. This custom has been observed for hundreds of years.
2.  What is the purpose of April Fool’s Day? Is one of the most light-hearted days of the year. Its origins are uncertain.
3.  What are a few theories behind April Fool’s Day? Officially recognized as a holiday, many celebrate by pranking, or pulling practical jokes on, their colleagues or by organizing larger-scale hoaxes.
4.  What are pros and cons of April Fool’s Day? Pros you get to prank other innocent people, and the cons, is they get you back the same way or even worse.

5.  April Fools' Day is observed throughout the Western world. Practices include sending someone on a "fool's errand," looking for things that don't exist; playing pranks; and trying to get people to believe ridiculous things.

Olivet, Michigan

I think what the football players did was amazing they wanted that kid to play and everyone was in it. They did it to be nice and good friends with them. The kid had mental problems but the football players did what they had to do and let him score a touchdown. Their parents where really proud of his son by winning that game. Also no one knew that it was a set up to let that kid score but after he made that touchdown everyone cheered and it touched his heart and the rest of the football team. They hugged him and cheered for him. I think it’s really special that they did that and for him to score they really did it because of him and the rest of his football team, really amazing.
